About this grant

Derbyshire Makes Heritage Grants of £300 to £2,000 fund engagement activities that celebrate Derbyshire's industrial heritage of making, focusing on three industries: textiles and knitting, ceramics, and mining (lead, iron ore and coal). Eligible activities include participatory workshops and events, interpretation materials, educational activities, heritage skills training and creative commissions, taking place in or around the project's six hub towns for the festival periods of April to May 2026 and 2027. The grants are part of Derbyshire Makes History, a two-year project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The current deadline is 4 November 2026, with decisions within six weeks; 50% of the grant is paid upfront and 50% on completion.
