About this grant

Innovate UK is funding Phase 1 project development studies for electrochemical ultra-long-duration energy storage (ULDES) demonstrators in the UK. Projects must support the development, scale-up, and UK manufacture of technologies capable of delivering cost-effective power to the grid for at least 100 continuous hours, with a working life of at least 25 years. Eligible activities include feasibility studies covering technology assessment, engineering design, cost and scale-up roadmaps, market assessment, and development, manufacturing and supply chain plans.
