About this grant

The Grocers' Charity awards over £1 million a year to UK registered charities, typically as one-off grants of up to £5,000. Its open grants cover relief of hardship, children and young people (0 to 25), the elderly, disability and inclusion, health, military, the arts, heritage, and environment and conservation. The 2026 round closed early on 17 July 2026 because of an unprecedented number of applications, and the application link reopens on 31 March 2027. Applicants submit a short Initial Enquiry online and, if successful, are invited to complete a second-stage form; trustees meet in December, March, April and June.
