Herefordshire Future Skills Grant

About this grant

Herefordshire Council's Future Skills Grant pays 50% of the cost of training courses that upskill existing employees, from £1,000 up to £10,000 per business, with a maximum of £2,500 per employee. It can fund industry accreditations and certificates and professional development such as leadership, project management, international trade, finance and legal training. The scheme is funded from Hereford Enterprise Zone retained business rates and is assessed first come, first served until the budget is spent, so it may close at short notice. From 1 October 2026 it is open to all sectors, and courses must start on or before 1 March 2027.
