CARES Community Buildings Fund

About this grant

Grants to decarbonise community buildings in Scotland such as village halls, community centres and hubs, sports facilities and faith buildings. At least one core measure is required (heat pump, heat network connection, solar PV or solar water heating), with add-ons such as energy storage, insulation, secondary glazing, draught proofing and controls costing less than the core measures; the building must have, or will install, a heat pump or heat network connection. Open until funding is fully allocated, on a first-come, first-served basis for complete applications; final claims are due by 15 March 2027 (unless the Grant Offer Letter sets another date where National Lottery Community Fund money is involved).
