About this grant
Early-stage funding in Scotland to help community and not-for-profit organisations bring historic buildings back into use. Project Viability Grants (up to £15,000, average £10,000, up to 100% of costs) test whether a building can be reused; Project Development Grants (up to £45,000, average £20,000, with 50% match preferred) pay for the work needed to get a project ready for capital funding. Expressions of interest can be submitted at any time and strong matches are invited to a full application. Requests up to £15,000 are decided at monthly meetings (usually within 6 to 8 weeks); larger requests go to quarterly Grants Panels (next deadline 14 December 2026, decision March 2027).
