About this grant
Historic England grants for activities that help people understand and champion the historic environment in England: heritage skills and training, knowledge sharing, temporary heritage posts (typically up to three years), helping communities champion heritage, community engagement, inclusion and diversity, and educational and youth heritage projects, plus research that improves knowledge and management of the historic environment. Local community engagement, educational and youth projects are typically up to £30,000; specific training and knowledge-sharing projects are typically over £30,000, and sector training and skills programmes over £100,000. Core activity applications can be made at any time, starting with an online expression of interest.
