Firstport Build It (Social Entrepreneurs Fund, Scotland)

About this grant

Grants of up to £40,000 towards salaries for new, permanent roles in early-stage social enterprises in Scotland (a single salary request is typically up to £27,000). Jobs must pay at least the Real Living Wage and follow Fair Work policy. Build It is a rolling programme with four assessment deadlines a year; the next is 12pm on 21 January 2027, with pitching panels in March. Shortlisted applicants attend pitch and cashflow preparation sessions and pitch to an independent panel.
