About this grant

Grant for tree planting and fencing to create new woodland in Wales on land with an approved Woodland Creation Plan. Pays standard capital rates per hectare for planting (native, mixed, agroforestry, fruit and nut), fencing, gates and riparian water items, plus 12 years of maintenance payments and a 12-year premium of £387/ha (not available for agroforestry options), with an extra £825/ha for qualifying native broadleaf planting completed and claimed by 31 March 2029. Window 6 is open 4 March to 20 November 2026 via an Expression of Interest on RPW Online; EoIs are scored monthly and all planting and capital works must be completed and claimed by 31 March 2028.
