About this grant

Cabinet Office (Disability Unit) grant to one organisation that will set up and manage a new Access to Elected Office Fund, which pays the extra disability-related costs disabled people face when standing for election (for example BSL interpretation or accessible transport, not standard campaign costs). The fund covers UK General Elections, local and mayoral elections in England, and local and Assembly elections in Northern Ireland. Up to £500,000 for 2026/27, covering administration and the funding pot, in a multi-year grant running to 31 March 2029. Opened 13 October 2026 and closes 2pm on 4 November 2026.
