About this grant
Landfill Communities Fund grants for physical works that improve or create natural habitats and increase biodiversity on a single site in England within 10 miles of an eligible landfill site. Directly related staff costs, equipment and land purchase for habitat creation can be included; every funded element must benefit nature rather than community use, though sites may be publicly accessible. Round 2 opens 26 November 2026 and closes 7 January 2027 (12 noon), decision 2 March 2027; Round 3 opens 25 February 2027 and closes 1 April 2027.
