About this grant

Capital grant for farm equipment and machinery that improves efficiency, animal health and welfare, resource use or health and safety, including precision management of soils and manures and monitoring of crop or livestock performance (examples include cattle handling systems, squeeze crushes, calving gates, sheep handlers and electric fencing). Items must be on the scheme's technical list and are funded at up to 40% of eligible costs. The application form opened on 28 July 2026 and stays open until March 2027, with applications scored and ranked in periodic selection rounds; the last date to apply for selection from the 2026/27 budget (indicative £2m) is 11 December 2026, and the January and March 2027 selection rounds are for the 2027/28 budget (indicative £5m).
