About this grant
Funds short projects developing early-stage ideas that could change how neurological care is delivered in the NHS, using wearable technologies, digital biomarkers, artificial intelligence or mathematical modelling. The three themes are hospital to community, analogue to digital, and sickness to prevention. Projects run for up to 8 weeks and must be completed by 14 May 2027, with winners announced in the week beginning 11 January 2027. Applications close at 5pm on 18 November 2026; a separate academic-led route offers up to £30,000 for UKRI-eligible researchers.
