Islington Council

Islington Local Initiatives Fund

About this grant

Small grants decided by Islington ward councillors for locally run activities that benefit Islington residents, such as street parties and festivals, regular sessions or classes, local improvements, and environmental projects like planting, greening, local food growing and biodiversity. Each ward's councillors have an annual small grants budget of £13,000; in 2025/26, 171 projects shared £230,555. There are three deadlines a year; the next is 21 January 2027 (decisions by early April 2027), and projects should start at least three months after the relevant deadline.
