About this grant
John Lyon's Charity's main grants programme funds core costs, salaries or direct project costs for charities benefiting children and young people in nine north and west London areas. First-time multi-year applicants are likely to receive £10,000 to £20,000 a year for up to three years; previous multi-year grant holders typically receive more than £30,000 a year, with grants of up to five years considered. Proposals are submitted through the Grants Portal at any time in a two-stage process, with Second Stage applications decided at Grants Committee and Governors' meetings in June and November; decisions currently take about ten months from Second Stage.
