About this grant

Tower Hamlets Council's Mayor's Small Grants Programme (£800,000 a year) funds small voluntary and community organisations through themed small grants. Round 2 themes include Community Chest (up to £1,000 for small local activities and events), Community Events (up to £2,500), Capacity Building (up to £2,500) and the Youth Empowerment Fund (up to £3,500 for youth-led projects). Round 2 opened in September 2026 and closes at 11.59pm on 1 November 2026 (indicative), with awards notified by 25 January 2027 and delivery from February 2027; an indicative Round 3 opens February 2027 with a March 2027 deadline. Grants are paid 70% upfront and 30% after monitoring; general running costs, capital works and past expenditure are not funded.
