About this grant
Grants for the conservation of important manuscript and archive collections in the UK, from single items to whole collections. Grants can cover conservators' time, conservation materials and digitisation as part of a conservation project, and projects that include training are preferred; equipment and standalone digitisation are not funded. Most grants are between £500 and £10,000, with up to a quarter of recent awards above £10,000. There are two deadlines a year, 1 April and 1 October, with trustees deciding in late June and late November; the next deadline is 1 April 2027.
