About this grant
East Devon District Council's StartSmart pilot gives grants of £500 to £2,500 to entrepreneurs about to launch and to young businesses in East Devon. Grants can cover capital or revenue spending that helps establish the business or support early-stage growth, but not routine operating costs, salaries, stock or vehicles. Applications are reviewed monthly (deadline the last day of each month) from April 2026 until the £25,000 pot is allocated or the council closes the scheme.
