About this grant

Harborough District Council's Hospitality Grant Fund offers capital grants of £5,000 to £25,000, covering up to 75% of project costs, to independent hospitality businesses in Harborough district. Eligible projects include permanent outdoor dining improvements such as awnings, all-weather seating or fixed heating, energy-efficient catering equipment that increases capacity, guest room refurbishments or accessibility improvements, and green technology such as solar panels or smart energy management. Operating costs, salaries, rent, routine maintenance, vehicles and projects already started are not funded. Projects must finish within the current financial year and grants are paid in arrears. The scheme opened on 24 August 2026 and closes on 30 November 2026, or earlier if funds run out; applications are assessed on a rolling basis via the online portal.
