Newark and Sherwood Community Grant Scheme 2026/27 (Round 2)

About this grant

Newark and Sherwood District Council has opened the second round of its 2026/27 Community Grant Scheme, offering grants of up to £20,000 for projects that make a difference to people and places across the district and support the council's Community Plan objectives. Extra weighting goes to projects that help overcome the cost-of-living crisis, reduce crime or antisocial behaviour, improve biodiversity or tackle climate change, or bring match funding above £5,000. Grants over £5,000 need 50% match funding on the amount above £5,000. Funding cannot be retrospective and applicants must supply financial information including reserves. Applications must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 27 November 2026; advice is available from the council's community engagement team.
