About this grant
Northumbrian Water's Branch Out fund supports projects that reconnect habitats for the benefit of people and wildlife across the Northumbrian Water and Essex & Suffolk Water operating areas. Grants of up to £10,000 are available. The 2026 application windows have closed; the 2027 round opens on 1 January 2027 and closes on 31 March 2027, with awards expected in May 2027. To apply, download the eligibility leaflet and application form for your water company area, complete the form and email it to Branchout@NWL.co.uk. Successful projects report progress annually or on completion.
