iX Challenge: Edge AI with Low Size, Weight, Power, and Cost

About this grant

Innovate UK Innovation Exchange (iX) challenge set by Tekh, a UK research and development company specialising in AI and machine learning. Tekh is looking for a hardware development partner to design and prototype low size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C) computing boards for edge AI inference, initially driven by defence applications. Submit a short solution proposal through the Innovation Exchange portal by 5pm on 6 November 2026. Shortlisted finalists are told between 13 and 17 November and pitch between 25 November and 3 December 2026. The selected solution provider is invited to apply through the Innovation Funding Service for up to £60,000 of grant funding for a three-month project starting on 1 March 2027 and finishing by 31 May 2027.
