Newport City Council (administered by GAVO)

Newport Community Spaces Grant (winter 2026-27)

About this grant

Newport City Council, through GAVO, offers grants of £2,000 to £4,000 to constituted community organisations in Newport to run warm, welcoming community spaces and hubs this winter that support people and help prevent poverty. Sessions run from 21 November 2026 to 31 March 2027, and applications must show added value beyond warmth, such as refreshments, advice services or enrichment activities. Applications open on 2 November 2026: start by completing the Microsoft Form linked on the GAVO page and read the Terms and Conditions 2026. GAVO's Community Development Officer is available for an informal discussion. The application form closes at 23:55 on 15 November 2026.
