iX Challenge: Distributed Smartphone-Based Detection and Mapping of PNT Signal Interference

About this grant

Innovate UK Innovation Exchange (iX) challenge set by a North West based company. It wants a distributed early-warning system that uses measurements from authorised Android smartphones to detect, confirm and map interference with positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) signals, giving confidence-rated alerts and map-based information to authorised operational users in areas such as defence, security and emergency services. Submit a solution through the Innovation Exchange portal by 5pm on Friday 6 November 2026. Finalists pitch to the challenge holder between 25 November and 3 December 2026, and the selected solution provider applies through the Innovation Funding Service in December 2026 for up to £60,000 of Innovate UK funding for a three-month project running from 1 March 2027 to 31 May 2027.
