Wales and Africa Grant Scheme 2027-28

About this grant

The Welsh Government's Wales and Africa Grant Scheme, run by WCVA, funds small-scale 12-month projects delivered by organisations in Wales working in partnership with Sub-Saharan African partners. Projects must benefit Wales and fit at least one of four themes: health, lifelong learning, climate change and environment, and sustainable livelihoods. Grants of £5,000 to £25,000 cover capital and revenue costs such as staff, a 15% overhead uplift on salaries, equipment, publicity, venue hire and training. The window runs from 27 October to 5pm on 21 December 2026, and activities can start from 1 April 2027. Apply through WCVA's MAP portal.
