About this grant
The SWEF Enterprise Fund, run with Foundation Derbyshire, gives grants to young people aged 18 to 30 in Derby and Derbyshire who are starting or growing a business. Start Up grants of up to £500 help launch a new business; Business grants of up to £2,000 help a young business take a significant step forward, and only one is awarded per business. Grants can pay for equipment that increases profit, prototypes and product development, websites or booking systems and training. They do not cover salaries or living costs, debt repayment, new computers or phones, app or software development or invasive beauty treatments. There are no fixed closing dates: email Foundation Derbyshire to arrange a call, then complete SWEF's application form. Decisions aim to be made within four weeks.
