About this grant

The Ministry of Justice and HMPPS are awarding grant funding of approximately £25.6 million (1 January 2027 to 31 March 2029) to voluntary and community organisations to support women aged 18+ who are in, or at risk of escalating within, the criminal justice system. Grants are competed across 12 Lots based on probation region. The fund aims to divert women from custody, provide gender-specific and trauma-informed support, and align with the Independent Sentencing Review and Women's Justice Board recommendations.
