About this grant
The Mercers' Company's Church & Communities programme funds churches and other faith-based and community organisations working in deprived areas or with marginalised groups. Its two priorities are building stronger communities, including community responses supporting refugees and people experiencing homelessness, and delivering better outcomes for families and unpaid carers facing poverty or other challenges. Awards range from £10,000 to £120,000 in total over one to three years and can cover core, project or development costs. Applications start with an online expression of interest, accepted at any time; full applications typically take three to five months to a decision.
