About this grant

National Lottery funding for the exhibition and distribution of ambitious, audience-facing film and immersive projects, plus sector-facing projects that help the industry adapt, innovate and develop ambition and resilience. Pilot awards of £10,000 to £20,000 support risk-taking projects that develop audiences from specific underrepresented backgrounds and are only open to organisations that have not previously received an award from this fund; project awards run from £20,000 a year up to £500,000 (awards over £200,000 are rare). Applications are accepted year-round but must be submitted at least 16 weeks before the project starts (10 weeks before the film's release date for single-film distribution), and all activity must finish by 31 March 2029.
