About this grant
The UK's fund of last resort for saving outstanding heritage that is at risk of loss or has a memorial character. It can help with the purchase, conservation or preservation of items such as fine and decorative art, museum collections, archives and manuscripts, industrial, transport and maritime heritage, historic buildings, land and archaeology. Applications start with an expression of interest through the online service at any time; urgent cases (for example auction sales, export deferrals or declared treasure) can be decided in about three months and others within six months.
